POLK COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE ASKING BOATERS TO BE MINDFULL OF HIGH WATER LEVELS

If you are operating a boat or personal watercraft on Polk County lakes, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office is asking you to be mindful of the high-water tables due to recent weather and flooding.

Wakes from watercrafts have negative impacts, including:
– Shoreline erosion, which results in impaired water quality and property loss
– Damage to other’s property
– Public safety hazards both on the water and on shore.

Please OWN YOUR WAKE and keep the great quality of all the lakes in Polk County so they can be enjoyed by everyone.
