On Friday, August 23 at approximately 11:47 p.m. Polk County deputies responded to a report of an assault at 29631 420th Ave SE, Gonvick. Upon arrival, Jonathon Neil Sundquist (9-2-67) from rural Gonvick was found to be deceased. The MN BCA is also assisting with the investigation.
This investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.

On Friday, August 23 at approximately 11:47 p.m. Polk County deputies responded to a report of an assault at 29631 420th Ave SE in Gonvick. Upon arrival, a male was found to be deceased. A female was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
No names are being released at this time pending family notifications. This investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time. There is no danger to the public.
Assisting agencies are the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office, Clearbrook-Gonvick Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, and Clearbrook Fire Department.
