On Tuesday, August 4, and Wednesday, August 5, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and neighboring agencies will be conducting live training at the Win-E-Mac School in Erskine.
This training will have law enforcement personnel carrying firearms and using sim rounds; there will be no live rounds used. People may hear loud bangs and see multiple officers coming and going from the school.
Officers will be run through multiple different training scenarios.
DO NOT be alarmed, all activity at the school will be law enforcement training.
