On Wednesday, June 24 the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a firearm that was pointed at a crop duster in Helgeland Township. Upon investigation, it was determined no shots were fired. Vern Leroy Hodgson, 77 years old, was arrested on charges of 2nd-degree assault. No further information will be released at this time.
