POLK COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE REOPENS PUBLIC ACCESS TO THE RED RIVER

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office will be reopening public access to the Red River as the river’s level has dropped to a safe level after the spring snowmelt.  Even though access is reopened, the public is reminded to be cautious using the boat ramps as they are still covered with water and mud. This makes the ramps slick and a hazard for drivers and equipment.
