On the early morning hours of July 3, the Polk County Sheriff Office responded to a watercraft accident on Maple Lake in rural Mentor. The driver of the watercraft was identified as Jeremy Deitz. He was the only occupant in the boat and sustained minor injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor to the accident. No further information is to be released at this time. Polk County Sheriff Office is investigating the accident.
