POLK COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE THANKS PUBLIC FOR ASSISTANCE IN CATCHING BURGLAR

UPDATE (3-2-24)
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public for the numerous tips and information received after sending out the previous press release concerning the person of interest.  Because of the information received as well as working with the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office and Pine to Prairie Task Force, the person in the photograph was identified.

On March 1, 2024 the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and Pine to Prairie Task Force executed a search warrant at 12675 390th Ave NE in rural Goodridge.  As a result of the search warrant, multiple stolen firearms were recovered.  The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested 64-year-old Dennis Obert Hovet of Goodridge for charges related to burglary and theft.

This case will remain under investigation as not all of the stolen firearms were recovered.  Anyone with information related to this case is asked to contact the Polk County Sheriff’s Office at 218-431-1218.

ORIGINAL STORY (2/29/24)
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is seeking to identify the person depicted in the attached images taken from a service station surveillance system in the City of Clearbrook. The person in the images is a person of interest related to a burglary investigation in Polk County. The male is believed to be in the Clearbrook area regularly.

The vehicle the individual is driving is believed to be a 1990s model Ford Ranger or similar vehicle. The surveillance was taken in late November of 2023.

Anyone with information on the individual is asked to contact the Polk County Sheriff’s Office at 218-281-0431.
