Red Lake County got on the board in the top of the third inning with a two-out rally.  Andrew Johnson got things going with a walk, Peyton Fish followed with a single, and Eric Gieseke blasted a line drive to the left-centerfield gap to score two runs to get within a 7-2 deficit.

Red Lake County added another run in the top of the fifth inning when Johnson led off with a walk and advanced to second base on a wild pitch.  After an out, Eric Gieseke doubled down the leftfield line to score Johnson to get within a 7-3 deficit.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Fosston responded with three runs when Simonson, Carson Boushee, and Senger singled and one run scored.  A few batters later Cullen Norland singled to score a run and Boushee scored on a wild pitch for a 10-3 lead.
