The National Weather Service announced today that they have determined the Red Lake River crested in Crookston Monday evening at 24.66 feet. The river has dropped two feet since then to 22.65 feet at 11:30 a.m. today. The 24.66-foot crest is the 11th highest crest on record in Crookston.
The Crookston Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at City Hall and the Ward 1, 4 and 5 Command Posts continue to monitor levees periodically. Public Works and the EOC will remain on shift 24 hours a day until further notice.
