Crookston Pirate Girls Soccer senior goaltender Reese Swanson has been named to the Minnesota High School Girls Soccer Coaches Association All-State Second team. 48 players were selected to the first and second teams out of around 1,400 players in Class A.

Swanson becomes the second All-State player in the Pirate Girls Soccer program history.

Swanson made 608 career saves and allowed 181 goals against in her impressive career. “If you’ve seen her play, you remember her. She’s aggressive, smart, and makes key saves repeatedly. She thrives under pressure with much versatility- drop step saves, second saves, coming off her line to take away time and space on breakaways and line drive shots and near/long balls,” said Pirate Girls Soccer Coach Sarah Reese. “The Coaching staff is so proud of Reese.”
