The Crookston School District will offer free breakfast and lunch and New Hope Food Shelf will offer free dinner starting Monday (March 23). (New Hope Food Shelf has offered the meals since Wednesday) The information on how to get the food is below.
BREAKFAST/LUNCH PICK UP
The Crookston School District will be offering free meals from Highland Elementary School start Monday, March 23. Meals can be picked up, grab-and-go style, at the front door of Highland from 11:00 am-1:00 pm. If you are unable to be present at Highland to pick up a meal, you can call 281-5600 to have them delivered during the lunch hour.
This free service is available to ALL children 18 and under in the Crookston community. As a reminder, children do not need to attend Crookston Public School District or be present to receive a free breakfast and lunch. The meals will be given out from 11:00 am-1:00 pm for all regularly scheduled school days. Similar to the Summer Food Service Program, the more children and families participating in this free program, the better it is for the foodservice department. Government aid has been made available for each meal served, so the more meals given away, the better. This service is made available to everyone, so please take advantage of it if you are able!
Questions about the food service program can be directed to Highland Elementary School at 281-5600.
