After more than 25 years of dedicated service to the region, RiverView Health orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Colin Fennell will retire later this month.
To honor his career and contributions, a retirement celebration will be held on Tuesday, June 23, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm in the Conference Rooms at RiverView Health.
Throughout his tenure at RiverView, Dr. Fennell has been a trusted physician, skilled surgeon, and respected leader. His commitment to providing high-quality orthopaedic care has positively impacted countless patients and families across the region. In addition to caring for patients, he has played an important role in supporting RiverView’s mission and advancing healthcare services in the community.
With Dr. Fennell’s retirement, RiverView recently welcomed Dr. Gary Matthys to its orthopaedic team. A trusted specialist in knee, hip, and shoulder joint replacement, Dr. Matthys combines advanced techniques with compassionate care to help patients keep moving. In addition to serving as RiverView Health’s joint replacement anchor, he will provide care for acute injuries, fractures, sports injuries, and chronic conditions.
Dr. Fennell will continue to see patients on a limited basis, focusing on hand, wrist, and elbow care, complementing Dr. Matthys’s services.
