RiverView Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the Lenertz Family Healthcare Scholarships. The two $1,000 grants for the 2019-2020 academic year will be presented to Riley Hermreck and Chris Roden. Riley is currently an RN working in the emergency department at RiverView Health. She is enrolled in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Concordia University in Wisconsin. Chris is currently an RN working on the inpatient unit at RiverView Health. He is enrolled in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Alabama Birmingham.
In recognition of the time and efforts Thomas C. Lenertz provided to the establishment and advancement of RiverView Health Foundation, its Board of Directors established the Lenertz Family Healthcare Scholarship. As one of RiverView Foundation’s original founders in 1990, Mr. Lenertz was instrumental in all development stages of the RiverView Healthcare Foundation. As Riverview Healthcare Association CEO, he continued to serve the Foundation as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors until his December 2000 retirement.
Sincere thanks to the Lenertz family and other generous donors that designate scholarship funds to help students in our service area achieve a career in healthcare. RiverView Foundation is very proud to provide this annual healthcare scholarship in the Lenertz’s family name.
