RiverView Foundation’s Golf Classic Brings in Over $28K for Patient-Focused Projects

Even though the weather for the RiverView Foundation’s 20th Annual Golf Classic wasn’t stellar on June 9, the donors and golfers were, as more than $28,000 was raised to enhance care at RiverView Health.

With the funds, blanket and fluid warmers will be purchased to benefit patients in the Surgical Services Department and the Inpatient Unit. “We are deeply grateful for the generous support of this year’s Golf Classic,”  said April Grunhovd, vice president of Patient Care Services. “The blanket and fluid warmers funded through this event play a vital role in patient care—offering comfort, preventing hypothermia, and aiding recovery during some of the most vulnerable moments. Thanks to the kindness of our donors, we are now better equipped to enhance the patient experience and improve outcomes.”

Foundation Director Randy Schoenborn reported that this year’s event was the most successful of the last four years. “Each year, I am amazed by the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and players, both past and new,” he shared. “With community support, the Foundation has raised over $475,000 in the Classics history, funding many priority patient-focused initiatives. Our patients will continue to receive the personal care they have grown to trust and appreciate in the comfortable, homelike environment they deserve, thanks to the generosity of these sponsors and participants.”

The major sponsors of the event were New Horizon Foods, UMR, USI Insurance Service, Garden Valley Technologies, Glen and Marlys Finkenbinder, Consulting Radiologists, Ltd., CL Linfoot Co., Lunseth Plumbing & Heating Co., and Hugos Family Marketplace. Congratulations to the team of CL Linfoot, Brion Mahin, Dwayne Stenehjem, and Minnkota Power – Dave Whalen and Theresa Brorby – on a first-place finish.

Mark your calendars for the 2026 Golf Classic on Monday, June 8!
