RiverView Health held its first annual Walk and Roll 2K on Saturday with over 45 residents, RiverView doctors, nurses, and patients came to participate in helping raise money for the Health Center to purchase operating room equipment.
Dr. Colin Fennell opened the fundraiser event with a small speech about the origin of the fundraiser and thanked the participants for coming to help support RiverView and its employees. Dr. David Schall followed by thanking the many volunteers that helped organize and assist the event in making the event possible.
The 2K began with the five Orthopedic team leaders; Colin Fennell, Todd Sekundiak, David Schall, Bethany Staehnke, and Monica Wells, leading the way for the other participants.
The first person to finish the 2K was Maggie Strong with a time of 15:26.826, followed by Kambree Wangen with a time of 16:12.26 and Mike Baker with a time of 16:13.05.
