RIVERVIEW HEALTH TO IMPLEMENT NEW POLICIES TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19

In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) RiverView Health will implement the following policies starting Monday, March 16:

All patients and visitors need to enter the building through the North Entrance near the North Clinic Monday through Friday, 5:30 am-8 pm.  After hours and on weekends, the Emergency Entrance (Door 3) should be used. Anyone requiring emergency care should drive into the ambulance garage and use the Emergency Entrance at all times.
Patients are asked to attend appointments on their own, if possible. If assistance is needed, only one companion will be allowed in the building with each patient; this includes patients on the Inpatient Unit. The companion needs to stay with that patient at all times.
Patients and visitors will be screened upon arrival. All individuals will be asked screening questions regarding recent travel to Level 3 areas (locations with widespread or ongoing community spread of COVID-19), cruise ship travel, and contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19.
The following group events will not be held until further notice: health luncheons, CPR classes, Tai Chi, Dementia Caregiver Support Group, Diabetes Support Group, Celiac Support Group, childbirth classes, Prevent Type 2 Diabetes classes, and Cardiopulmonary Rehab Phase 3.

The circumstances regarding COVID-19 are ever-changing. Please continue to watch for updates. If you have questions regarding these policies or symptoms you may be experiencing, please call RiverView Health at 218-281-9200.
