RiverView Health is committed to the community it serves beyond the parameters of healthcare. Recently, Team RiverView showed its commitment to one of its community partners, the Care and Share of Crookston, with Uplifting Gifting, a women’s health and beauty donation drive.
“Mother’s Day always kicks of the start of Hospital Week,’’ shared Carrie Michalski, RiverView president/CEO. “This year we collaborated with the Care and Share for RiverView to conduct a female wellness supply drive for the moms and daughters the Care and Share supports during periods of transitions and finding oneself unhoused.
“While shopping and pampering our moms, we also asked our team to consider a donation to an unhoused mom in the community. And, wow, did they respond!’’ Through team member contributions, 2,000 items were donated allowing for 51 hospitality bags to be filled, each packed with

-Deodorant
-Loofah
-Toothbrush/Toothpaste
-Disposable Razors
-Fragrance Spray
-Hair Care Products
-Hair Tools
-Nail Care
-Makeup bags
-Travel mirrors
-Eye Makeup and Lip Balm
-And Many More Pampering Goodies
Additionally, two totes of feminine hygiene products, extra soap, deodorant, toothpaste, and toothbrushes were donated for the Care and Share to replenish its stock of supplies.
