Roger O. Fetting,
74, Moorhead, MN, formerly of Borup, MN, died Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Eventide Living Center, Moorhead, MN.
Roger was born to Melvin and Lillian (Brager) on February 22, 1944, in Ada, MN. He worked at American Crystal in Moorhead for 38 years, retiring in 2009.
Roger was a hard worker. He was known for the way he could throw hay bales. He took pride in knowing no one else in the neighborhood could throw bales like he did. He also loved making things with wood. When he was quite young he built a “shack” out of old wood he found around the farm. He also built birdhouses, wooden Santa and his reindeer, and a nativity scene for the yard.
Roger married Kaye Horn on June 11, 1983, at Zion Lutheran Church in Twin Valley, MN. Roger was a lifelong member of Winchester Lutheran Church and served as a custodian over the years.
Roger is survived by his wife, Kaye, Fertile, MN; a brother, Harold (Janice) Finley, ND; two sisters, Marilyn Williams, Billing, MT; Lois Carlsrud, Dilworth, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Bob, and two brothers-in-law, Mervin Carlsrud and Gary Williams.
Funeral: 2:00PM, Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Winchester Lutheran Church, Borup, MN.
Visitation: One hour before the service at the church.
Burial: Winchester Lutheran Cemetery, Borup, MN.
