Santiago Ramirez – Obit

Santiago A. Ramirez, 45, of Crookston, MN passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022, in Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Santiago Arturo Ramirez was born on January 15, 1977, in Sequin, TX, the son of Isaias and Frances (Estrada) Ramirez.   He was raised in Sequin, TX, and San Antonio, TX.  He moved with his family to Crookston, MN, where he resided until his death.  He was employed with the Crookston Inn and with Crystal Sugar.

He enjoyed camping, grilling, and family gatherings.  He loved going on long drives in the country, collecting coins, and making car models.  Most all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather; his children, Destiny Goulet-Ramirez, Isaias Goulet, and Alyssa Spillum; nieces, Ashley Deleon and Cynthia Deleon, both of Crookston, MN; brothers, Juan Deleon, Abelardo Deleon, Cortez Deleon, all of Crookston, MN and Joey Deleon of Grand Forks, ND.

Memorial Mass:  2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022, in Holy Family Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.

Family Greeting:  One hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Saturday.
