The Section 8A Girls Tennis coaches held their seeding meeting in Mahnomen on Friday and there was a fight for the third seed with Crookston and East Grand Forks. After a lengthy discussion, the coaches couldn’t decide so they flipped a coin. East Grand Forks won the coin flip and will be the third seed and Crookston the fourth. The team and individual tournament will be played at Fargo Courts Plus on Thursday, October 10 through Saturday, October 12. The team seeds are below –

The Section 8A Invidivual tournament will start on Friday, October 11 after the Section 8A team championship (about 11 AM). Crookston will have six girls competing in the individual tournament.
In doubles, Catherine Tiedemann and Emma Borowicz received the second seed and will look to make a return trip to the state doubles tournament. The other Crookston doubles team, Hayden and Halle Winjum received the sixth seed.
In singles, Emma Osborn received the 13th seed and will play #4 seed Maggie Dietrich of East Grand Forks in the first round. Hannah Lindemoen received the 15th seed and will play #2 Jade Lenius of Perham in the first round.
