SHANNON PROULX NAMED RIVERVIEW HEALTH EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

“Individual commitment to a group effort – that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.” – Vince Lombardi

Shannon Proulx, LPN in RiverView Health’s Internal Medicine Department, and Dr. Bosun Fashoro know what teamwork is all about. Together, the two make running one of RiverView’s busiest practices look easy. For her role in this dynamic duo, Shannon was recently named the Employee of the Month of May.

While in high school, Shannon started her RiverView career working in the dietary department, while also working at the Villa. After getting her LPN, Shannon worked at Glenmore Recovery (now RiverView Recovery Center) for about five years before starting her current role in RiverView’s Crookston Clinic. Even after starting in the clinic, she continued to work weekends at Glenmore for a few more years.

A Crookston native and resident, Shannon and her significant other, Nate Magsam, have a blended family of Katelyn, 18; Kamryn, 16; Ethan, 24, his wife Nissa, and their son Cullen; Kailee, 19; and their dog, Nelly.

The family has a cabin on Island Lake where Shannon loves spending time and fulfills a portion of her dream of living on a lake full-time. She enjoys spending time with family, ice fishing (her favorite), running, and walking Nelly in her free time.

“I was very surprised, it was so unexpected. I love working at RiverView and am so fortunate to work with some of the best nurses and doctors,” said Proulx. “I am so grateful to work with Dr. Fashoro every day. I have learned so much over the years and have the best teacher.”
