Sharon Ann Krenzel – OBIT

Sharon Ann Krenzel, 78, of Euclid, MN, passed away in the Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND, Sunday morning, March 17, 2024, with her daughters at her side.

Sharon was born on September 17, 1945, at Harvey, ND, the daughter of Rochus and Ella (Schmike) Heilman. While growing up on the family farm near Selz, ND she was baptized and confirmed in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, attended elementary school in Harvey, and graduated from Esmond (ND) High School with the Class of 1964.

On September 1, 1964, Sharon was united in marriage to Joseph Euchachius Krenzel at St. Anthony’s in Selz. Soon after the wedding they moved to Drake, ND where he was employed at Cenex. Daughter, Julie, was born during this time. In 1971 the couple moved to Emerado, ND and daughter, Becky, was born. Sharon was a member of the Emerado Lions Club for several years and bowled in a Women’s League. After Joseph’s retirement in 2004, he and Sharon settled in Harvey, ND where Sharon worked for a local greenhouse for a few years. Then in 2022 Sharon and Joseph relocated to Euclid to be close to their daughters and grandchildren. Joseph passed away on June 25, 2023. Sharon enjoyed cross-stitching, sewing, doing puzzles, reading and spending time in her flower and vegetable gardens. She will be forever remembered as a loving and faithful Wife, and amazing Mother and Grandmother; always kind, protective and very proud of all her family.

Sharon is survived by her 2 daughters, Julie Andres of Grand Forks, ND and Becky Krenzel and her life partner, Shawn Jeuch, of Euclid, MN; 3 grandchildren: Justin “Earl” Andres and life partner, Erin Larson, and Ian Andres, all of Grand Forks, and Lexi Jeuch of Euclid. She also takes leave of 5 brothers: Richard Heilman of Fessenden, ND, Doug (Rose) Heilman of Bismarck, ND, Mark (Judy) Heilman of Harvey, ND, Bruce (Sheila) Heilman of Gardner, ND, and David (Darla) Heilman of Bismarck; a brother-in-law, Wes (Donna) Wiberg of Jamestown, ND; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. From Joseph’s side of family are 2 brothers-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law: Rudy (Regina) Krenzel of Germany, and Leo Krenzel and Agnes Krenzel, both of Rugby, ND.

In addition to her beloved husband, Joseph, Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; Rochus and Ella Heilman; sister, Rena Wiberg; parents-in-law, Otto and Catherine Krenzel; niece, Angela Kay Krenzel; nephew, William Otto Krenzel; and 5 brothers-in-law: Otto, Pius (Karen), Hugo, Romanus, and Tony Krenzel.

A graveside service for Sharon Ann Krenzel will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2024, in the Prairie View Cemetery, north of Euclid, MN on Hwy 75, with Celebrant Trey Everett, officiating.
