SINTA QUARTET TO PERFORM IN CROOKSTON ON MARCH 16

The Sinta Quartet is coming to the Crookston High School Auditorium on Saturday, March 16, at 7:00 p.m. The saxophone ensemble will perform for the Crookston Civic Music League Entertainment Series final event of the 2023-2024 concert series.

The Sinta Quartet is on a mission to bring the versatility, homogeneity, and excitement of the saxophone to audiences everywhere. The quartet’s program takes the audience on an adventure through time, geography, and genre, often mixing classics from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries with commissions by today’s composers and rollicking in-house arrangements from various folk traditions.

The group grew up in drastically different parts of the United States. They met while studying at the University of Michigan under the legendary saxophone professor Donald Sinta, naming the group after him because of his profound influence on each member.

For ticket and membership information in the Crookston Civic Music League, please call Elaine Metzger at 218-281-2681, Emily Luckow at 218-281-5907, or Alvern Wentzel at 218-281-7873.  Admission is by season ticket only.
