SIX GIRLS COMPETING FOR THE TITLE OF MISS CROOKSTON 2021

Six girls will be competing for the title of Miss Crookston on Friday, August 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Crookston High School auditorium.

The six contestants, Ellie Nesseth, Aleah Bienek, Emma Osborn, Claire Oman, Hayden Winjum, and Clara Meyer, have been practicing since August 3 and they are having a lot of fun.

“We have been having a really good turnout for all of our practices.  They have been working really hard on talent, evening gown, learning how to walk in heels on stage, and our opening dance number,” said Pageant Director Lisa Anderson. “We started practicing last Tuesday, August 3, and typically do about three to four practices a week usually from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and sometimes longer.”

There will be six different talents this year. “As usual we have new and a variety of talent and I think we will see a couple of new things on stage this year in terms of talent,” said Anderson. “We are going to see a lot of high energy from the ladies.  They’re bringing it.”

Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, August 18 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at $10 per ticket.  There is no mask mandate or social distancing at this time.

The Miss Crookston contestants will be on KROX’s Valley Talk on Tuesday, August 17 at 10:40 a.m.
