SPORTS FEEVER by Chris Fee of KROX Radio – chrisjfee@yahoo.com
I had a lot of people ask what is up with the column lately. Last week I ran out of time and actually had a bunch of stuff ready, but on Tuesday, I went to Roseau for baseball, Wednesday, I was at sub-section golf before going to Greenbush for a softball game. All while doing news director duties as we were in between employees in the News Director and afternoon/play-by-play jobs. We are back at fully staffed this week, and things should be good from now on!

The Section 8A Baseball Championship game is being held Thursday at Bemidji State, with Sacred Heart taking on the Fosston Greyhounds at 2:00 p.m. Sacred Heart won the first meeting in the double-elimination tournament, and now Fosston will have to beat Sacred Heart twice.
Sacred Heart is looking to make its sixth state tournament appearance after going in 2005, 2006, 2018, 2019, and 2022.
Fosston is looking to make its fourth state tournament appearance after going in 2010, 2017, and 2021.
Sacred Heart and Fosston have been section champion the last five of the last six years and it will be six of the last seven after Thursday.
The big question for Sacred Heart is if Parker Erickson can pitch. The sophomore is considered to be the best pitcher in the section and he jammed his wrist sliding into third base on Saturday. If he is healthy and good to go, it could be trouble for Fosston.
We will have the game on KROX Radio with the pre-game show at 1:30 p.m.

JOKES
She says I keep pushing her buttons. If that were true, I would have found mute by now.
As I’ve grown older, I’ve learned that pleasing everyone is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.
Common sense is like deodorant. The people who need it the most never use it.
My tolerance for idiots is extremely low these days. I used to have some immunity, but there’s a new strain.
As I’ve gotten older, people think I’ve become lazy. The truth is I’m just being more energy efficient.
I haven’t gotten anything done today. I’ve been in the Produce Department trying to open this stupid plastic bag. And I will try again tomorrow.
It turns out that being a “SENIOR” is mostly just Googling how to do stuff.
God promised mankind that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the world. Then he made the earth round……and laughed and laughed and laughed.
I’m on two diets. I wasn’t getting enough food on just one.
I put my scale in the bathroom corner, where the little liar will stay…..until it apologizes.
My mind is like an internet browser. At least 19 open tabs, three frozen, and I wonder where the music is coming from.
Hard to believe I once had a phone attached to a wall, and when it rang, I picked it up without knowing who was calling.
Sometimes the Universe puts you in the same situation again to see if you’re still a dumbass.
There is no such thing as a grouchy old person. The truth is that once you get old, you stop being polite and start being honest.
