ST. CLOUD STATE MEN’S BASKETBALL DOMINATES UMC WINNING 81-50

The University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC) Men’s Basketball team was beaten in every facet of the game by St. Cloud State as the Huskies won a Northern Sun Conference game 81-50 at Lysaker Gymnasium in Crookston.

After UMC scored the first basket of the game by Zen Goodridge (Jr-Orlando, Fla), but St. Cloud State then went on an 11-0 run to take a sizeable lead.  In the last six minutes of the first half, the Huskies outscored UMC 15-7 to take a 39-22 lead at the break.


The second half saw St. Cloud State building up a 20 point lead in the first four minutes as the Huskies were all over the boards and outscored UMC in the paint 41-14!! Besides the board, St. Cloud State shot 46% from the field and over 30% hitting nine treys! UMC never had a chance in the second half as the Huskies put it away 81-50 for an impressive victory in the conference. St. Cloud State had three in double figures led by Anthony Roberts with 18 going 8-8 at the free-throw line. UMC had just one in double figures, Ethan Channel (Jr-Beaverton, Oregon) with 10.

UMC is 4-4 on the season and 1-1 in the conference while St. Cloud State improves to 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the conference. UMC will be at Minnesota Duluth for a Saturday afternoon game.
