St. Paul’s Lutheran Church’s Steve and Kelly Solheim lead a team of passionate Christ-followers. Made up of prayer warriors, church partners, and supporters from all over the world. And together, they are disciplining a new generation of leaders to shape the nation of Honduras for the glory of God.
The purpose of the ministry is to build meaningful and genuine relationships with children and youth so that they have opportunities to speak God’s Truth into their lives.
They took their love for board games and gave them a unique way to build relationships with young people. Now when they play checkers, they’re encouraging a young man to stay in school. When they play Jenga, they teach a youth leader to listen to a teenager in crisis. And when they play Yahtzee, they’re helping a family come together after a tragedy.
Serving in La Esperanza, Honduras, they’re working with churches, Christian leaders, and young people to change the way they think about relationships, creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, and resource management. Sharing a biblical worldview that will transform hearts and communities for the kingdom of God.
Steve and Kelli will share more about their mission work on Sunday, July 24, during the 10:00 a.m. Worship service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
A salad Potluck/Fundraiser meal will follow Worship. WELCA will provide desserts. Congregational members are invited to bring a salad (pasta, fruit, potato, etc.) for the potluck. The offering taken at the potluck will go to support the Solheim Mission.
