Stephen-Argyle Storm Football Beats Up on Nevis

The Stephen-Argyle Storm football team wrapped up their undefeated regular season with a 55-6 win over the Nevis Tigers in a non-section game played in Argyle.
In the first quarter, the Storm forced a three-and-out and took possession of the football on their opening drive. Nathan Kotts gave Stephen-Argyle the lead with a 25-yard run into the end zone giving the Storm a 7-0 after the extra-point with 7:36 left in the first quarter. With 5:09 left in the first quarter, Kotts scored his second touchdown of the game with a 5-yard run around the left edge past the goal line giving the Storm a 14-0 lead after the extra-point.
After forcing another Tigers’ punt, Stephen-Argyle punched in a third touchdown in the first quarter as Dawson Feuillerat rushed up the middle untouched and into the end zone giving the Storm a 21-0 lead with 3:17 left in the first quarter.
Feuillerat found the end zone on Stephen-Argyle’s next drive giving the Storm a 28-0 lead. Ashten Safranski got in on the scoring action for Stephen-Argyle with 6:43 left in the first half rumbling beyond the goal line with a 14-yard carry, but the extra point was missed wide-right limiting the Storm’s lead to 34-0.
Nevis’ only score of the game came on their next possession when quarterback Luke DeWulf avoided a tackle for a minimal game and cut upfield on the near sideline out running the Stephen-Argyle defense for a 68-yard touchdown after the failed two-point conversion cutting the deficit to 34-6. Michael Jacobson answered for Stephen-Argyle on their next drive punching in a scoring drive with a 2-yard run into the end zone for his first rushing score of the season giving Stephen-Argyle a 41-6 lead at the half.
In the third quarter, the Storm continued their stellar play as Nathan Kotts burst free for his third rushing score of the night cutting through the Tiger defense on a 35-yard scoring run giving Stephen-Argyle a 48-6 lead. Michael Jacobson scored his second touchdown of the night on the Storm’s next possession to close out the 55-6 victory with Stephen-Argyle scoring on each of their first eight possessions in the regular-season finale. “It was parent’s night and we got the win, that’s about all you could ask for,” said Stephen-Argyle head coach Ethan Marquis after finishing the undefeated regular season.
The Storm wraps up their regular season with an 8-0 and returns to the field next Tuesday when Stephen-Argyle hosts Warren-Alvarado-Oslo in the Section 8 9-man playoffs first round.
