SUGARBEET MUSEUM HARVEST FESTIVAL TRACTOR PULL WINNERS

The 16th Annual Red River Valley Sugarbeet Museum Harvest Festival was held this afternoon at the Red River Valley Sugarbeet Museum in Crookston.

The demonstration of harvesting Sugarbeets with antique equipment began at 11:00 a.m., and the tractor pull started at noon, lasting almost 7 hours with over 100 participants in 20 different classes.

Every year the Sugarbeet Museum honors a family or person at the event, and this year they honored the Migrant Workers, who would travel from Texas to help thin the beets and prepare them during the harvest. They are no longer needed, but the Museum felt it necessary to honor them this year for keeping the industry moving forward.
