A thunderstorm hit Crookston Sunday morning during the 7:00 a.m. hour. Heavy rain and strong winds caused some damage around Crookston.
The storm caused a power outage, and Otter Tail Power Company reported that over 2,000 customers in Crookston were without power. By 9:00 a.m., power was restored to most of the town.
At the KROX studios, we received .73 of an inch of rain. On Barrette Street, they reported .68 of rain (with the strong winds, it was likely more than that, but that is what we had in our gauge).
