Cathedral School 1st and 3rd-grade buddies spent Friday afternoon constructing gingerbread houses! Parents and Grandparents joined in the fun to create a variety of different models! Third-grade teacher, Samantha Isack, is shown assisting a group of children.
Elaine Metzger, American Legion Auxiliary, recently presented patriotic rulers to Sandra Trittin’s 4th graders at Our Saviors Lutheran School. The students eagerly look forward to receiving these rulers with the presidents and the Pledge of Allegiance displayed on them. Cathedral School held its annual Veterans Day program on Monday and were joined by a special guest speaker, Jerry Forgit. Forgit was a Middle Launch Officer stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base during the cold war. His grandson, Patrick, is a student at Cathedral. The program also featured music from the Cathed School Choir.
Cathedral School was visited by the Science Museum of Minnesota. Third-sixth graders learned about types of energy. Students used their energy to power the lights in the house or on the switchboard. Students also learned the benefits and drawbacks of different types of energy.
Crookston Firefighters, Kent Ellingson, and Justin Johnson, visited the 1st through 6th-grade students at Cathedral School to teach about Fire Safety. Johnson dressed in his gear to so the students could see and hear what a firefighter sounds like. The Crookston Fire Department will have their annual open house to kick off fire prevention
