On Saturday, March 4, the Crookston High School Speech team competed at the 51st Chuck Beckman Memorial at Walker-Hackensack-Akeley. Crookston was one of 29 schools competing at the tournament, and multiple students brought home awards. Crookston was one of 32 schools competing at the tournament, and several students brought home awards. On Saturday, February 18, Crookston hosted its first varsity speech tournament, with nine teams competing. Competing at the tournament included: Blackduck, Breckenridge, East Grand Forks, Fosston/Bagley, Red Lake County, Roseau, Thief River Falls, Warroad, and Crookston. In total, 83 students competed in 90 events, with all 13 MSHSL Speech categories represented. Crookston finished second place
