TRAVELING ART EXHIBIT TOURS NW MINNESOTA REGION, VISITS HALLOCK PUBLIC LIBRARY

The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council (NWMAC) sponsors an annual Traveling Art Exhibit, which visits northwest Minnesota communities throughout the year. The exhibit includes 17 original art pieces by regional adult and student artists chosen from works submitted for the annual juried exhibit. ROAD CONSTRUCTION ON HIGHWAY 2 FROM ERSKINE TO FOSSTON TO BEGIN MAY 5

Motorists on Highway 2 from Erskine to Fosston can expect short-term delays and lane closures as construction begins mid-May. During the project, crews will be replacing the concrete roadway on Highway 2 eastbound lanes between Erskine and Fosston as well as Highway 2 westbound lanes in McIntosh. The roadway will be replaced with bituminous pavement.

POLK COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE RESPONDS TO GREENHOUSE FIRE IN FOSSTON

Earlier this morning, at approximately 5:13 a.m., the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to 27372 430th St SE rural Fosston for a report of a greenhouse fire. Upon investigation, the fire appeared to have been caused by a wood-burning stove that was used to heat the greenhouse. The structure sustained moderate damage. There were no
