RED LAKE RIVER HAS CRESTED IN CROOKSTON, WARD COMMAND POSTS/EOC REMAIN ACTIVE

The National Weather Service announced today that they have determined the Red Lake River crested in Crookston Monday evening at 24.66 feet.  The river has dropped two feet since then to 22.65 feet at 11:30 a.m. today.  The 24.66-foot crest is the 11th highest crest on record in Crookston.  The Crookston Emergency Operations Center (EOC)

CITY OF CROOKSTON TO ACTIVIATE EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER

River levels are expected to rise quickly to the 20-foot level which would trigger the activation of Crookston’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC).  Once opened, the EOC would remain open 24 hours a day until further notice.
