On Wednesday, November 10, at approximately 10:10 p.m., the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a bed on fire inside of the residence at 37978 140th St NW, rural Warren. Warren Fire Department, Alvarado Fire Department, Crookston Fire Department, and Warren Ambulance responded. There were no injuries resulting from the fire. The
Earlier this afternoon the Crookston Fire Department responded to two vehicle fires at the University of Minnesota Crookston campus. The Crookston Ways & Means Committee met on Monday night inside the City Hall Council Chambers to discuss the 2022 budget. The preliminary 2022 tax levy for the City of Crookston was set at 10% back on September 13. Since then, the City of Crookston has been working on ways to lower the tax levy.
The Crookston Girl’s Tennis team was sent off earlier this morning by their fellow classmates and parents as they head to the Twin Cities to compete in the Minnesota State Class A Girls Tennis tournament.
