The Crookston Fire Department will be testing the sirens in Crookston at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 7. The reason for the test is they repaired a siren and want to test it to make sure it works.
On Saturday, May 1, the Polk County Sheriff’s along with the Crookston Fire Department were dispatched to Section 14 of Russia Township. The Sheriff’s Office and Crookston Fire Department arrived on scene and noticed that a grass field and woods were on fire and out of control. The fire was able to be put out.
