The Crookston Hugo’s Family Marketplace and it’s customers raised $654 for the Crookston High School Music Department. The customer’s donated $327 and that was matched by Hugo’s.
The annual Taste of the Holidays event was Thursday at Hugo’s Family Marketplace. This year the funds raised will go toward the United Way of Crookston.
The Crookston Hugo’s Family Marketplace on Wednesday donated 108 cases of fresh strawberries to the North County Food Bank. Each case contains eight 1-lb containers of strawberries totaling 864 lbs.
On Friday morning Bob O’Halloran, Crookston Store Manager for Hugo’s Family Marketplace, presented a check to Humane Society of Polk County Board President Barry Stephens for $1,142 from Hugo’s and their customers. O’Halloran said Hugo’s matched the donations made by customers when checking out. “It was a donation we did through the tills,” said O’Halloran.
