Fire/Arrest Report – July 21, 2020

At 6:36 p.m. Monday, the Crookston Fire Department was called to the alley of Stuart Ave. and Pleasant Ave. for a transformer on fire. Crews were on standby until the Otter Tail Power Company showed up. The transformer was de-energized, and crews returned to quarters. The transformer was deemed a total loss.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM HITS KROX LISTENING AREA – PICTURES/VIDEO

A severe thunderstorm moved through Crookston and the KROX listening area Friday evening and brought strong winds, heavy rain, lightning, and thunder.  It also provided several KROX listeners with some pretty cool pictures as the clouds moved in.
