Congratulations to David Threatt and Mariele Meyer, who competed at the Band Solo/Ensemble Festival in East Grand Forks on Wednesday, March 1! Mareile earned an Excellent rating for her flute solo, and David earned a Superior Rating and Best in Site award for his Horn solo.

On Saturday, January 28, three Crookston students participated in the Bemidji State Honor Band event at Bemidji State University. Grace Smith (10th-grade oboe), Mareile Meyer (11th-grade flute), and David Threatt (11th-grade horn) were selected to attend this event along with students from several other Minnesota schools.
On January 14, Isabel Pahlen (8th-grade trombone), Tatum Lubinski (12th-grade trumpet), and David Threatt (11th-grade horn) attended the Northwest Minnesota Band Directors Association Honor Band event in Bemidji. David Threatt (11th-grade horn) was selected to participate in this year’s UND Honor Band, Choir & Strings Festival in January. David auditioned for this ensemble in the fall and participated in a three-day event hosted by UND.
