The Crookston City Council met on Monday night in the Council Chambers at City Hall. It was the final meeting for Councilmen Jake Fee and Bobby Baird who both lost in their reelection bids in November. Councilman Jake Fee thanked several people and alluded to Crookston being in a better place now than it was.

The Crookston Ways & Means Committee voted Monday night to complete a permit application to light the Robert St. Bridge. The request for the City to complete the application was made by the Downtown Crookston Development Committee (DCDP). The State of Minnesota requires such a permit application to be submitted by the local government entity.

The Downtown Crookston Development Partnership will be hosting a “Food Truck Fest” the third week in August, Monday through Thursday, August 17-20 to be exact, downtown at the old Wayne Hotel parking lot on Second Street and Main.
