Elizabeth Grace Smith, an eighth-grader at Crookston High School, won the annual Crookston District Spelling Bee and will advance to the Regional Spelling Bee in Thief River Falls on February 3. On Monday and Tuesday, sixth-grade students from Our Savior’s Lutheran School traveled to Lutheran Island Camp for 2 days of Outdoor Education. While there, the students participated in lichen explorations, tree identifications, leaf casting, owl pellet dissection, and other outdoor related activities with students from other northern Minnesota Lutherans schools.
On Sunday, May 19 Our Savior’s Lutheran School held their graduation service for the 2019 school year. Graduating this year were James DeBoer, Keaton Gudvangen, Ava Edwards, Naomi Johnson, and Ella Lanctot. The school also recognized Lisa Bohler for 25 years of dedicated teaching service at Our Savior’s Lutheran School.
