The Crookston 6th grade girl’s basketball team won the Consolation Championship at the Green Wave Sports Booster Border Battle tournament this weekend. Bemidji beat Crookston 22-13 in the first round. The girls bounced back to beat Cavalier 29-17 in the consolation semi-finals and beat junior Manitoba Bison 35-18 in the consolation championship. The Crookston 6th grade girls basketball team placed 3rd at the Sacred Heart Basketball Tournament on Saturday. Crookston lost to Sacred Heart 27-7 in the first round. Crookston 6th Grade Girls Basketball wins the Ada-Borup-West tourney

The Crookston 6th grade girl’s basketball team won the championship at the Ada-Borup-West Cougar Classic tournament on Saturday in Ada. Crookston beat Badger/Greenbush-Middle River 24-4. BGMR & won 24-4. In the semi-finals, Crookston trailed by seven points at halftime but came back to beat East Grand Forks 23-21. In the championship, Crookston beat Warren-Alvarado-Oslo 22-7.

CROOKSTON MATH MASTERS FINISH 1ST AND 6TH AT REGIONAL COMPETITION

Highland Elementary and Crookston Middle School fifth and sixth-grade students competed in the regional Math Masters of Minnesota Challenge in Bemidji. These students competed individually and as teams on eight sets of mathematical problems in this competition for a total of 325 problems.
