Four Crookston youth wrestlers participated in the Sebeka wrestling tournament on January 8th. It was a big tournament with over 400 wrestlers. Crookston had two champions, Oliver Wallace and Jacob Kresl, and two runners-up with Eli Boll and Levi Kresl.
This past weekend there were 10 Crookston youth wrestlers that competed in the Jaycee’s State Youth Wrestling tournament in Grand Rapids. On Friday, April 8, three of the Crookston Youth Wrestling sixth graders competed in the tournament for 5th-8th grade. Crookston youth wrestlers competed in two tournaments this past weekend. Christopher Goodrich finished fourth place at the Cavalier, ND tournament on Saturday, February 26. Crookston youth wrestlers had a busy weekend hitting the mats. On Friday, January 28, five Crookston youth wrestlers competed in Park Rapids, which was a Jaycee State Qualifier. Two wrestlers qualified for the state qualifier with Graden Gudvanger finishing first and Briar Gudvangen finishing second place.
