CROOKSTON YOUTH WRESTLERS COMPETE IN OKLEE AND GREENBUSH

Crookston Youth Wrestlers were busy once again this past weekend. CARTER COAUETTE ADVANCES TO STATE WRESTLING FOR 4TH TIME

The Crookston Pirate Wrestling team’s Carter Coauette won both of his matches to win the Section Championship at 172 pounds, Jose Arriaga finished third place at 152 pounds, and Riley Helgeson finished fifth place at Heavyweight as the Pirates had three placers at the Section 8A Individual Wrestling Tournament held at the Crookston High School

CARTER COAUETTE IS 1ST AND RILEY HELGESON WAS 3RD AT ALBANY TOURNEY

The Crookston Pirate Wrestling team had six wrestlers compete in the Purple Pride Invitational in Albany, with Carter Coauette winning the championship at 172 pounds and Riley Helgeson finishing third at heavyweight. CARTER COAUETTE WINS THE NW INVITE IN FERTILE, PIRATES FINISH 6TH

The Crookston Pirate Wrestling team had four varsity wrestlers competing in the Northwest Invitational tournament in Fertile. Crookston finished sixth place out of seven teams with Mahnomen/Waubun winning the tournament with 98 points, 7.5 points better than United Clay Becker.  Mahnomen/Waubun 98 United Clay Becker 91.5 Badger/Greenbush-Middle River 89 Thief River Falls 88.5 Fertile-Beltrami 85.5

PIRATE WRESTLING LOSES 2 MATCHES AT BGMR TRIANGULAR

The Crookston Pirate Wrestling team had five open weights out of the 13 spots in the lineup and lost both duals at the Badger/Greenbush-Middler River triangular. Crookston lost to BGMR 66-16 and lost to Roseau 54-18. CROOKSTON VS BGMR – Crookston had five open weights and started the match having to make up 30 points.
