The Crookston 6th grade girls basketball team placed 3rd at the Sacred Heart Basketball Tournament on Saturday. Crookston lost to Sacred Heart 27-7 in the first round. The Crookston 6th grade girl’s basketball team won the championship at the Ada-Borup-West Cougar Classic tournament on Saturday in Ada. Crookston beat Badger/Greenbush-Middle River 24-4. BGMR & won 24-4. In the semi-finals, Crookston trailed by seven points at halftime but came back to beat East Grand Forks 23-21. In the championship, Crookston beat Warren-Alvarado-Oslo 22-7.
