A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR NORTHERN MINNESOTA THROUGH SATURDAY AT 1:00 AM

The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Northern Minnesota until 1:00 a.m. Saturday, July 24.  The counties include Polk, Red Lake, Pennington, Norman, Mahnomen, Lake of the Woods, Clearwater, Beltrami, Becker, Cass, Cook, Hubbard, Itasca, and St. Louis counties. POLK COUNTY ADDS 2 COVID-19 CASES; MN REPORTS 771 CASES, 14 DEATHS

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 771 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Thursday, 157 probable cases from antigen testing, and 14 deaths. The confirmed cases were the result of 31,198 completed tests for a positive rate of 2.5 percent. POLK COUNTY HAS 1 COVID DEATH; MN REPORTS 24 DEATHS, 529 CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 529 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, 140 probable cases from antigen testing, and 24 deaths. The confirmed cases were found in 17,319 completed tests for a positive rate of 3.1 percent. Lake of the Woods County had one confirmed case and Kittson County had one probable case. Polk
