STATEWIDE TORNADO DRILLS SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY HAVE BEEN CANCELED

The National Weather Service is canceling the tornado drill watch/warnings for Minnesota for Thursday, April 11.  The NWS will not be issuing any test tornado watches/warnings for anywhere in Minnesota on Thursday, April 11.  The cancellation is due to the very strong snowstorm set to arrive later Wednesday. RED LAKE RIVER HAS CRESTED IN CROOKSTON, WARD COMMAND POSTS/EOC REMAIN ACTIVE

The National Weather Service announced today that they have determined the Red Lake River crested in Crookston Monday evening at 24.66 feet.  The river has dropped two feet since then to 22.65 feet at 11:30 a.m. today.  The 24.66-foot crest is the 11th highest crest on record in Crookston.  The Crookston Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
