MN REPORTS 28 COVID-19 DEATHS, 992 NEW CONFIRMED CASES, 2 IN POLK COUNTY

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 992 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 153 probable cases from antigen testing, and 28 deaths. The confirmed cases were found in 41,032 completed tests for a 2.4 percent. Kittson County had 3 confirmed cases, Polk County-2 cases, and Lake of the Woods County-1 case. NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE: SPRING FLOOD RISK QUITE LOW; FLASH DROUGHT POSSIBLE IN SPRING

EUCLID, FISHER AREAS INCLUDED IN GOVERNOR WALZ’S BORDER-TO-BORDER BROADBAND GRANTS

On Thursday, Governor Tim Walz announced that the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) will award grants totaling $20,645,425 to 39 projects in the sixth year of the Border-to-Border Broadband Development Grant program. State grant dollars are matched by $33,695,279 in local funds, for a total investment in the broadband infrastructure of $54,340,704.
