With the extension of Gov. Tim Walz’s stay at home order, summer youth programs could be one of the next activities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Crookston Parks and Recreation Director Scott Riopelle said the city is currently discussing summer programs and hope to have a decision about whether they will proceed with them next
Crookston Public Schools have decided to cancel June summer school programming due to COVID-19 and the efforts we are all making to keep our students, staff, and families safe. The Northwest Regional Corrections Center announced the arrests of the following individuals: Mathew John Kazmierczak, 27 of Grand Forks, for felony 3rd-degree possession of methamphetamine in a school, park, or public housing zone.
Governor Tim Walz has signed Executive Order 20-48 extending the Stay at Home Order and continuing closure of restaurants and other public accommodations. This temporary closure includes salons and in-person instruction at cosmetology schools. The executive order will be in effect beginning Sunday, May 3 at 11:59 PM to Sunday, May 17 at 11:59 PM.
