Highland Elementary and Crookston Middle School fifth and sixth-grade students competed in the regional Math Masters of Minnesota Challenge in Bemidji. These students competed individually and as teams on eight sets of mathematical problems in this competition for a total of 325 problems. The Crookston Aquatic Boosters and Fin and Fit Crookston held the first annual Pool-A-Thon on Saturday last week, which was a success! This event was put on to fundraise money to help the city with ongoing fixtures at the pool.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation thanks the thousands of Adopt a Highway volunteers who help us keep Minnesota roadsides clean and free of litter each year. We invite more people to join this important program. During 2023, Adopt A Highway volunteers removed more than 42,100 bags of trash from Minnesota highways and rest areas. MnDOT
